Accomodation
The lovingly maintained cottage encompasses 2ensuite twin bedrooms, a dining room, lounge and kitchen with full facilities.
This is complemented by a comfortable lounge, a bright and cheerful dining area and a private library - a perfect retreat at the end of a day.
For the connoisseur: a well stocked bar, and to relax at the end of an adventurous day, an escape to the barbeque and fire pit.
Bedrooms :
Both rooms have twin beds and are tastefully decorated. Built in wardrobes provide that added storage and bathrooms have 24 hour hot water facilities. If extra linen is required, just ask housekeeping.

Food And Restuarant
Wind Crest Acres have developed a reputation for its fine cuisine with a menu that often includes fresh ingredients from the plantation. As much as one must savour traditional dishes while in Coorg, an alternative continental menu is provided on request.
Traditional Coorg Cusine:
Pandhi Curry (Pork Curry), Kadumbuttu (Rice Dumplings),Koli Curry (Chicken Curry), Nool Puttu (Rice Noodles), Bamboo Shoot Curry (Bamboo Shoot Curry), Votti (A sort of Rice Pancake cooked over burning coals).
A fully equipped kitchen, where your private cook will prepare those delicious meals and maybe share a receipe or two! Meal timings and menu are set but could be flexible if sufficient notice is given.
Though meals are prepared in the cottage to adhere to the homely atmosphere WindCrest Acres endeavours to maintain, the privacy of the guests are not compromised. Packed lunches are provided if required. |

Getting There
ByAir: The nearest airports are Bangalore (260 kms) and Mangalore (135 kms).
By Rail: The nearest railheads are at Mysore, Mangalore and Hassan (146 kms).
By
Road: From Bangalore, there are two routes to Coorg. Both routes are almost the same distance (around 250-260 kms). The route via Mysore, is the oft-frequented route. The stretch after Hunsur is scenic and the drive through the coffee plantations is absorbing. The other route is via Neelamangal, Kunigal, Chanrayapatna, all of which are located on the National highway. After Chanrayanapatna, the state highway route takes you to your destination
Seasons
The evergreen coffee land and reserve forests are beautiful throughout the year. The monsoon is from July to September when the rain is heavy, eliminating most outdoor activities but still good for quite and restful holiday. Best seasons are between October and May. |
